Test pressings (also known as white labels or sample records) are of particular interest for collectors and fans due to their extremely limited circulation. At this point, we occasionally offer test pressings for sale to make room for something new in our archive. Therefore it is always worthwhile to stop by. The white labels often bear the imprint "Only for promotion", but have so far not been offered as promotional copies. The records put in here are test pressings that were produced solely for the purpose of quality control and have never left our house. (The imprint is printed as a matter of course by our pressing plant and refers only to separate license agreements with copyright societies.) Some test pressings were naturally played once or at most twice, others are unplayed, if the first examples in the batch were faultless. All test pressings are therefore in very good condition. Test pressings have no cover and are issued in inner sleeves. //////// |
